Unobtrusive Places

Places that are overlooked, inconspicuous, or barely hidden. Places that are practically right in front of you, just a few steps off any path. Places that aren’t exotic in any way; you don’t have to travel for hours or even days to reach them. Places we pass by, lost in conversation or our own thoughts. There are no tourist signs leading to them, and they aren’t in guidebooks. But they are everywhere along the paths or near them. You just have to discover them, look around. Maybe not walk so fast. Perhaps just lift your head, brush aside a single branch, or emerge from your own thoughts. Places that have their own magic, their own “something” that compels you to stop for a moment, just to be and look. And even though they are actually so close and within reach, few people give them even a fraction of their attention.

In this collection, I present several of these places to you and invite you, through my photographs, to discover these beautiful spots that can be found practically everywhere. All you have to do is look. Stop for a moment. And perhaps just curiously brush aside a branch.
I wish you the most beautiful discoveries.

The entire collection was on display in March and April in Vinoř as part of the “Water” exhibition, alongside my friend Ondřej Duchan, who contributed his own section.
